They
wrote us... The
concept of the publication was well thought, the articles are various
– and knowledgeable, and qualified, and interesting, and optimistic. I
have to tell you that I am pleasantly surprised with their quality and
interesting content. In today's moment of social happenings in B&H
and in the world, to build «Bridges» in the widest meaning of that
word, can only chosen and for that mission committed. I wish every
success in future work to the editor and redaction. The
centre for education and upbringing and rehabilitation of speech and
hearing Banja Luka is included in the project for kohlear implantation
which begins in year 2003. The foundation «Lets win over the silence»
has begun the humanitarian action which is undertaken in Republika
Srpska, and last from the 17 April until the 17 of May. In the context
of these actions funds for implantation of cohlear implant for children
without finances from the fond would be collected. These finances would
be collected from the sales of tickets for concerts «Vrapcici» all
around Republika Srpska, with sales of shirts and badges over
humanitarian number 1411, organizing donation dinners... The
lovers of art have had the chance to enjoy again in pieces of deaf
artist Omer – Omo Mujagić. In the gallery “Mak” in Sarajevo was
16/04 opened the exhibition of about fifty pieces of this artist. This
is Omo's 24th self exhibition of paintings and it caused a great
interest of the public. «The
small business for persons with disabilities», the brochure of the
author O. Delibegović, was not special handbook for special small/micro
business especial for persons with disabilities. This handbook has to
work as a simple leader and reminder on the road from the idea to the
business plan as final result of all thoughts, activities and analysis
in the preparation of start and up keeping of small business and its
realisation. The
deafness of the child is the fact which you can not understand as a
misfortune, but to take it as homework, the mission. This was given and
with it you have to bear and fight, you have to find strength, and when
your child is in question, that must not be difficult. You must pick
other priorities and targets. From the autumn 2000 Ana goes to the
everyday kindergarten and that between other has opened important room
for her rehabilitation to the world of hearing. This year on autumn she
is going to the year one of everyday primary school and she passed all
tests with excellent marks. In
the edition of “Sarajevo disk” first album of Ibrahim Ćorić –
Baja was released. Nothing would be unusual if it is not about the
person with hearing damage. These
days the realisation of project under the title « Help them to hear»,
whose realiser is Association of citizens with hearing disabilities from
Zenica. It is about the project of prequalification or enabling persons
with hearing disabilities for different professions persons which was
financially supported by the UK DFID from the Great Britain, and whose
aim is to help people to find an employment. Students
of the centre for the hearing and speaking rehabilitation Sarajevo were
part of the presentations of their work on the competition on the
12/04/2003 in the «Prva gimnazija» which was organised by the American
organisation “Civitas”. For the theme of their work students were
chosen the problem « Communication for the persons with hearing disabilities». It
was a human will who was the winner in many seemingly lost life battles.

without breath while performing although he was lacking a hand. The
information centre for persons with disabilities «Lotos» Tuzla has
published the brochure with the text of Madrid's declaration, document
which representatives of organisations of persons with disabilities from
countries of European Union adopted in the Congress in Madrid in Mart
2002. The commendation is that this document be the sign for those who
during 2003 European Year of People with disabilities, is to take
activities in the aim of the change of the relationship of the society
towards the persons with disabilities. This document as well as the
Declaration from the Saporo must be recognised and used as markers in
planing of the activities cause the 2003 European's year of persons with
disability, as accepting proclaimed values of the year must result with
improvement of the social status of persons with disabilities in our
country. The
campaign «We are all equal» - the acceptance of the standard rules for
equality of possibilities for persons with disabilities. If
Helen Keller was born today, her life would be without any suspicion be
completely different. Her life dream was to speak, something that she
never completely concurred. Today
there are methods ot teaching which would help Helen to achieve her
dream. What will Helen achieve with the technology available to today's
blind and dumbfound persons? The technology which enables blind and
dumbfound persons like Helen, to communicate straight and independently
with anyone in the world. The

languages will have to be protected with the European declaration for
regional and minority's languages, so it could be insured that they will
be taught, used and their development will be supported, the member of
the Britain Parliament Malcolm Bruce thinks. Mister Malcolm Bruce has a
deaf daughter from the first marriage and he learned the sign language. The

Europe is still slow. There are two types of obstacles to the formal

development strategy BiH – PRSP and social protection of persons with
disabilities – Round table, Sarajevo 28. Mart 2003. On Round table the
text of the part of the suggestion for development Strategies – PRSP
was looked at for questions of social help for persons with disabilities
and the suggestion of the action plan. It is about the strategy of the
fight against the unfortunate which must undertake the measures which
all – from the government in the state and entities to the
non-government societies of citizens to each individual- must be taken
so this country would get of the hands of the unfortunate ones. It was
talked about the situation in the social sector, with which persons with
disabilities were connected for their all lifetime. One
of the biggest problems in education, which especially hits young’s
with special needs, is the lack of the law sections in B&H. To
modernize primary and secondary education in BiH, and under the coverage
of European Committee- the technical help to the reform of education –
EC-TAER) was composed on the November 2002 common strategy for
modernisation. The Entity and cantonal ministers of education were in
November 2002 presented the plan of the reform of the education to the
committee for the implementation of peace in Brisel. The education
reform was built with the cooperation and coordination of the
representatives of all educational governments in B&H, individuals,
institutions and societies and members of the international union have
for the aim to secure equal opportunity and quality education for all. The

succeeding. Your child is happy, and you are happy, satisfied and proud

deafness. Slobodan
Đurasovic Đani was the long term professor of literature in Sarajevo's
Third Gimnasy. And man who generation of Bosnians born in sixties met as

He has died in Sarajevo this year. Strange

city of Sarajevo on the 6th of April 2004, the major Muhidin Hamamdžić
has given the 6th of April medals and thank you letters of the city of
Sarajevo to this year’s laureates. The acknowledgement has finally
came into the hands of our well known humanitarian and great friend who
over 10 years helps people who need help, behind who are hundreds of
actions of help people and societies who bring together sick and poor,
who every day brings smiles on faces wherever he appears.
